Description
· Patient Ratios : 1:5 with occasional 1:6
· Type of equipment : Transfer equipment readily available as needed (ex: sara steady, Hoyer lift, etc.). We just became wired for cardiac telemetry. We have IV equipment, kangaroo pumps for tube feedings.
· Documentation system: Meditech
· Scheduling requirements: Shifts are 5-5. Prioritizing a day shift need, but also in need for night shift help.
· Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float.
· Patient Experience requirements: Round with your patients each shift and ensure they being prepared for discharge adequately.
Typical Procedures: ADLs, 1:1 patient mealtime, mobility transfers of patients. Lines: Foley care, NG management, PICC and midline care.
