Description
Job Title: CVOR RN
Shift: Variable, 4x10 or 3x12 Mon-Fri days
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Call Requirements: weekend and overnight rotating call
Required Certifications: BLS / ACLS (AHA)
Years of Experience: 3+
Float Requirements: Standard, within scope
Must Have Skills/Experience: Circulate and Scrub in OR. Ability to work in rapid paced environment, navigate many computer systems, good problem-solving skills, ability to provide quality of care in OR setting.
RN Experience: 3+ years operating room experience required; vascular or heart case experience required Shift: 6:30am - 5pm M-F ; weekend and overnight rotating call required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred
Overview:
Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, Mercy Mission and Values and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications Licensure: Current MO Registered Nurse license or compact state license
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Other: Ability to hear and read effectively. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Ability to navigate effectively in many computer systems. Ability to work in a team focused environment. Ability to work in a rapid-paced work environment. Ability to work independently. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to provide quality bedside patient care.
Preferred Experience: Two years current inpatient, acute care hospital experience.
