Unit Specifics:

·         Number of Beds : 20 LDRPs, 5 OB assessment beds

·         Type of equipment : GE fetal monitors, novii’s

·         Documentation system: CPN and Meditech

·         Scheduling requirements: Utilize Timpani scheduling. Preferences highly considered.

·         Floating policy: No floating.

·         Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report every shift, every time.

Hospital Specifics-

·         Certifications: BLS, NRP, Stable, Awhonn Intermediate fetal monitoring

Must have:

Labor and Delivery experience, Intermediate fetal monitoring

Triage experience

Advanced skills needed:

Couplet care, circulating in OR,

Procedures performed on unit:  

Vaginal deliveries, versions, C/S, epidurals, postpartum tubals, cerclage removal, circumcisions
