Position Overview

Unit: MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit)
Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center
Shift: Nights (Non-rotating)
Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Floating: Required
Parking: Free On-Site

🏥 Unit Details

20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU)
Adult patient population
24/7 coverage by Attendings & Residents
Facility Size: 400+ bed community hospital
- 220 Med-Surg beds
- ICU, Maternity & other specialty units
EMR: EPIC

👩‍⚕️ Patient Types / Diagnoses

Common conditions include:

Substance Abuse / Overdose
Severe Psychiatric Conditions
DKA
Sepsis
GI Bleed
Respiratory Failure
Cardiac Arrest
Renal Failure
Cardiogenic Shock

📋 Experience Requirements

2+ years Adult ICU experience required
Must have 2+ years continuous experience in one facility (preferably MICU)
Must be able to read Telemetry strips independently
Telemetry competency required
