Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift Options:
  • 3x12s (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • 4x10s (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Common Shifts Needed:
  • 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• Recovery Unit Hours: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call Requirement:
  • 4–7 days/month (sign-up basis)
  • 60-minute response time (30 minutes preferred)
  • Weekend Day Call: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Weekend Night Call: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
  • Weekday Call: 9:30 PM – 5:00 AM
  • Holidays: On-call only (otherwise off)

Unit Overview

• 22–23 total bays:
  • 16 beds
  • Radial lounge with 6–7 recovery chairs
• Average 30 cases per day
• 1 Lead/Charge RN
• 16 RNs staffed daily across shifts
• Central telemetry monitoring (no bedside tele)
• No ventilator management required
• Hospital-issued surgical scrubs provided

Common Patient Cases

• Left & Right Heart Catheterizations
• Complex PCI
• Electrophysiology procedures
• Interventional Radiology
• Peripheral Vascular & Hybrid Cases (including AAA)

Support Services

• 24/7 Cardiologist on call
• Respiratory Therapy 24/7 (Code Support)
• Pharmacy 24/7 (Code Support)
• SWAT/IV Team available (unit staff proficient in ultrasound-guided IV starts)
• Charting: EPIC
• Medication System: PYXIS

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Active Washington State RN License or Compact License
  (License to submit required; willing to wait)
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS

Orientation

• 12 hours
• Floor-specific orientation less than one week for experienced candidates
