Description

Facility is seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse Educator with strong NICU and Continuing Care Nursery (CCN) experience.

The Nurse Educator will function as a:

  • Change agent
  • Mentor
  • Learning facilitator
  • Clinical leader
  • Advocate for nursing professional development
  • Champion of scientific inquiry
  • Partner in role transitions

Candidate will use adult learning theory, evidence-based practice, and clinical expertise to transform and enhance maternal-child nursing practice.

 

Clinical Requirements

  • Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Continuing Care Nursery (CCN) experience required
  • Strong NICU experience required
  • Advanced maternal-child nursing skills including:
    • Fetal monitoring
    • Cardiac arrhythmia identification
    • IV medication titration
    • Epidural pain management
    • Managing high-risk labor patients requiring acute intervention
    • Operating room experience (maternal cases)

 

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Massachusetts RN License
  • MSN required
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • ACLS required
  • NRP required

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • ANCC Certification in Nursing Professional Development
  • NRP Fetal Monitoring Instructor certification
