Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Passaic, NJ

Contract Duration: 8 Weeks (03/02/2026 – 04/25/2026)

Shift: Day Shift (07:00 – 15:30) | 40 Hours Per Week

Job Summary:

A high-performing cardiovascular center in North Jersey, is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for an 8-week assignment. This facility is recognized for its excellence in cardiac care, specializing in both diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide acute care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing invasive cardiac interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Procedural Monitoring: Continuously monitor and record physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic catheterizations and interventional procedures (PCI/Stenting).
Circulating & Sedation: Administer and monitor moderate sedation under physician supervision; manage the sterile field and coordinate supplies for the scrub team.
Patient Assessment: Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, focusing on site integrity (radial or femoral), distal pulses, and hemodynamic stability.
Emergency Response: Maintain readiness for emergency interventions, including STEMI activations, and provide immediate ACLS support if complications arise.
Equipment Oversight: Ensure all lab equipment and inventory are functional and ready for individual cases.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or a high-acuity Critical Care (ICU) environment.
Education: BSN degree is preferred.
Licensure: Active New Jersey State RN License required.
Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) – Required.
- ACLS (AHA) – Required upon hire.
Skills: Proficiency in interpreting complex cardiac rhythms and invasive pressure waveforms (arterial and ventricular).

Unit & Facility Details

Setting: Dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
Population: Adult and Geriatric patients.
Location: Passaic, NJ 07055.
Performance Improvement: Expected participation in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives.
