Job Title: CT Technologist (Weekend Nights)

Location: Denville, NJ

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Current – 04/04/2026)

Shift: Night Shift (19:00 – 07:30) | Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a high-yield weekend night contract. This facility is a designated Primary Stroke Center, meaning the night shift Technologist plays a critical role in the emergency diagnostic pathway. You will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography exams, primarily supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient critical care units during the busiest weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

Emergency & Trauma Imaging: Perform STAT CT scans for trauma, appendicitis, and pulmonary embolisms.
Stroke Protocol: Execute rapid "Code Brain" protocols, including CT Angiography (CTA) and CT Perfusion, to assist in time-sensitive thrombectomy or tPA decisions.
Contrast Administration: Screen patients for renal function and allergies; safely administer IV contrast using power injectors.
Image Reconstruction: Utilize advanced workstations to create 3D reconstructions and multiplanar reformats for radiologist review.
Patient Safety: Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols (ALARA) and provide patient positioning for optimal image quality.

Requirements & Qualifications

Certification: * ARRT (R) – Required.
- ARRT (CT) – Highly preferred/Required for high-acuity stroke centers.
- NJ State Radiologic Technologist License – Required.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern CT scanners (e.g., GE, Siemens, or Philips) and power injectors.
Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) required.

Unit & Facility Details

Setting: 200+ bed community hospital with a robust Emergency Department.
Volume: Weekend nights are high-volume, requiring a tech who can work independently and prioritize STAT orders effectively.
Location: Denville, NJ 07834.

Financial & Logistics Notes

Schedule: 3x12s (Friday–Sunday). This schedule offers four days off per week, ideal for travelers or those seeking a condensed work week.
On-Call: No on-call requirement for this position.
