Houston, Texas
13-Week Contract | 4x10 Day Shifts | 40 Hours Guaranteed
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a high-volume, Level I Trauma acute care hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a Cath Lab RN who thrives in a fast-paced, complex procedural environment.
This department performs a high daily case volume and offers exposure to advanced cardiac interventions.
Schedule
- 4x10 Hour Day Shifts
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 40 hours guaranteed weekly
- 13-week assignment
- On-call required (4–5 shifts per month, including 1 weekend per month)
Facility Highlights
- Level I Trauma Center
- 700+ bed academic medical center
- 11 Cath Labs
- 40–50 cases per day
- EMR: Epic
- Large, busy cardiac program with high acuity
Responsibilities
- Assist with cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures
- Administer and titrate cardiac medications
- Provide post-procedure patient care
- Respond to STEMI and emergent cases
- Collaborate with physicians and procedural team
Required Certifications
- Active RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Ideal Candidate
- Recent Cath Lab experience
- Comfortable in high-volume environment
- Strong cardiac medication and rhythm interpretation skills
- Team-oriented and adaptable
Cath Lab RN – 4x10 Days (7a–5:30p). 40 hrs/week guaranteed. Level I Trauma, 11 labs, 40–50 cases/day. Epic charting. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. On-call 4–5 shifts/month with 1 weekend/month.
