Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg TELE

Location: Vineland, New Jersey
Specialty: 3rd Medical Acute (MedSurg/Tele based Unit)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Primarily MedSurg/Tele unit.
• Nurse may be asked to float to Step Down Unit (PCU), so PCU float experience is required.
• May also be asked to care for ED Holds.
• Charting system used: Cerner.

Schedule

• Weekend: Every other weekend.
• Holidays: Every other holiday.
• Return to Office (RTO): No more than 3 days.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 3 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, and in-person classes (typically Tuesday-Thursday).
• POCT class attendance required (not during orientation week).
• Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager.
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted. Badge required for clock-ins.

Additional Requirements

• Background check, drug screen, immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella), physical exam, and various employment verifications are required.
• Compliance with confidentiality, core mandatory annual training, and other standard healthcare employment screenings.
