Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Schedule Options: Nights or rotating days and nights (if preferred)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
EMR: EPIC

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong Pediatrics background. The RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The traveler may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses and must be comfortable floating to General Medical-Surgical units when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric unit
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3
• Administer medications and manage pediatric treatments
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to General Med-Surg units as required
• Participate in on-call coverage based on departmental and hospital needs

Floating and Call Requirements

• Must be comfortable floating to General Med-Surg
• On-call required based on scheduled shifts and hospital needs

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN Pediatrics experience
• Minimum 1 completed travel contract
• 24 months of current Pediatric experience reflected in work history
• Vapotherm experience required
• Must be comfortable floating to Med-Surg
• Active Iowa RN License at time of submission

Certifications Required

• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• PALS (AHA or ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
  • NRP preferred if candidate has strong PALS (not a deal breaker)
