Job Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT) – PICU / NICU

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 Weeks 
Shift: Nights – 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
Schedule: 36 hours per week
Call: None
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation (if scheduled)
EMR: EPIC

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) and/or Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) experience. The therapist will provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages in a hospital-based setting.

Candidates may float across multiple campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Cross-training on the General Pediatric floor will be provided to assist when needed.

Patient Population: All ages

Equipment Experience Required/Preferred:

• HFOV (High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation) – highly preferred
• Jet Ventilator – highly preferred
• Servo U Ventilator – highly preferred

Drips:

• Power injection contrast injections

Scrubs: Gunpowder Gray

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy care in PICU and NICU settings
• Manage ventilators including HFOV, Jet, and Servo U
• Provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory support
• Document care in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float across campuses as needed
• Assist on general Pediatric floor when required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 36 months of respiratory care experience in hospital or medical center setting
• Minimum 24 months of current RRT or CRT experience reflected in work history
• PICU and/or NICU experience required
• Active Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License (in hand at submission)
• NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) credential required
• BLS (AHA or ARC) required
• PALS or NRP certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
