Description
Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Boston, MA
Shift: 19:00 – 07:30 (Night Shift)
Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center
Equipment Requirement: Siemens CT experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images per departmental protocol
- Properly prepare, position, and immobilize patients; utilize protective shielding as appropriate
- Explain procedures to patients while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Calibrate and verify equipment functionality; report malfunctions as needed
- Complete all required RIS and PACS documentation (scheduling, exam completion, image transfer)
- Perform venipuncture and administer contrast under radiologist direction in accordance with hospital policy
- Maintain effective communication with radiology and hospital staff
- Participate in QA/QI initiatives, research programs, and departmental projects
- Maintain CEUs in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and ARRT requirements
- Provide instruction to students and other personnel as needed
- Assist with patient transport and transfers per departmental guidelines
- Participate in on-call coverage and remain flexible for shift needs
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- CT Registered (ARRT-CT) required
- 2–3 years of CT experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year cross-sectional anatomy coursework
- Experience in a Level I Trauma setting required
- Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
