Assignment Summary – Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Shift: Monday–Friday | 06:00–14:30
Role Overview:
Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures to obtain diagnostic imaging per physician orders, including patient transfers and assisting throughout the exam process.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment safely and effectively
Educate, position, and prepare patients for procedures
Ensure timely, high-quality imaging and continuity of care
Follow imaging orders accurately and submit images to Radiologist for interpretation
Evaluate image quality
Prepare and administer radioisotopes per protocol
Follow radiation safety guidelines (ALARA)
Maintain records of radioisotope receipt, storage, usage, and disposal per state/federal regulations
Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards
Manage supplies and documentation appropriately
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and leadership
Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
