Job Summary

Level I Trauma Center in the Bronx, is seeking two experienced Cath Lab RNs. This position is ideal for travelers looking for a high-volume, dynamic environment without weekend or holiday obligations. The role focuses on pre/post procedural care, monitoring, and recovery in both the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology (EP) labs.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre/Post Procedural Care: Assess and prepare patients for invasive cardiac procedures, and manage recovery in the PACU phase, including vascular closure device management and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Procedural Monitoring: Assist physicians by monitoring physiologic data (ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) and documenting procedural details in the EPIC EMR.
• Critical Care: Utilize high-acuity skills to manage patients with acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, or hemodynamic instability during interventions.
• Floating Capability: Must be able to float to the EP pre/post care areas and to Montefiore’s Einstein and Weiler campuses as needed.
• Quality Improvement: Adhere to safety protocols, including strict radiation safety and aseptic technique.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required, with Cath Lab Trained experience preferred. Must have strong skills in procedural care, PACU, and critical care.
• Licensure: Active New York State RN License.
• Certifications: * ACLS (American Heart Association) – Required.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) – Required.
• Compliance: FLU VACCINE REQUIRED. Must pass a facility-specific exam (study materials provided).

• Setting: High-volume Acute Care | Level I Trauma Center.
• Scheduling: No weekends, no holidays, no call.
• Dress Code: White, Ceil Blue, or combo scrubs.
• Location: Bronx, NY 10467.

• Traveler Friendly: Known for extending contracts; many travelers have been with the facility for over two years.
• Housing: Commutable from Yonkers, NY via public transportation.
