Unit Specifics:
· Scrub Color(s) All Navy or Navy and White
· Number of Beds : 16
· Patient Ratios : 2/1 or 1/1 (occasionally 3/1 depending on acuity)
· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : RNs only – no HUC or PCT
· Type of equipment : Vent, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT< Impella, Hypothermia
· Documentation system: Cerner
· Scheduling requirements: 36hrs/week, alternating weekends, 12 hour shifts
· Floating policy: Travelers float to all areas
· Patient Experience requirements: ICU experience required

· Certifications: None required. CCRN, IABP, Impella and CRRT appreciated
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set: Titration of Vesicant Meds, Familiarity with Pressors, Sedation, Paralytics, experience with Vents, Trachs, telemetry interpretation, Understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter set up and interpretation, Transvenous pacing, Cardioversion, TEE, Familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance
Must have: Titration of Vesicant Meds, Familiarity with Pressors, Sedation, Paralytics, experience with Vents, Trachs, telemetry interpretation, Understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter set up and interpretation
Advanced skills needed: Desirable skills include IABP, Impella, CRRT
Procedures performed on unit: Cardioversion, Central line insertion, EGD, Bronchoscopy, Chest Tube insertions, Pericardiocentesis, Thoracentesis
Certifications Required: None required – CCRN recommended
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
· No pullovers or hoodies, no green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work, Must adhere to uniform colors named above
