Description

Department: MS/ICU/IMC RN

Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS*

Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Elderly population in surrounding area. Cardiac: CHF exacerbation, Afib RVR, bradycardia, syncope.
Pulmonary: pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure post op.
Neuro: Falls, TIA, Storke, Detox. Skin: cellulitis, paraplegic with decubitous ulcers.
GI: GI bleed, SBO, lysis of adhesion, Pancreatitis, Cholecystitis, intestinal resections, perforated appy, diarrhea.
GU: UTI, hematuria, TURP, hydronephrosis, kidney stones, AKI, ileal conduit, nephrostomy tubes.
Ortho: hip fracture, humerous fracture, shoulder, knee or hip surgery. Sepsis.
Outpatient: transfusions or long term antibiotic infustions.
Pediatric: stable patients - respiratory illness for IV meds, postop appy, dehydration with IV hydration.

- Experience or 'Must have' skills: ICU experience with Pediatric experience is our preference

- Are RN's required to titrate drips: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, PCA fentanyl, Propofol, Norepi,
