Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic ER Nurse Manager II to lead the Emergency Department team. This leadership role is responsible for fostering a positive clinical environment, ensuring excellence in patient care, and driving operational and quality outcomes within the department.

The Nurse Manager II will oversee nursing operations, manage staff performance and development, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the Emergency Department nursing team
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and excellence
• Oversee daily department operations, staffing, and resource allocation
• Manage departmental budget, financial performance, and cost control measures
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
• Support staff recruitment, retention, performance evaluations, and professional development
• Coordinate educational programs to enhance clinical competency and meet organizational goals
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
• Serve as a clinical caregiver when necessary to support patient care needs
• Ensure patient satisfaction and continuous improvement in care delivery

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Minimum 2 years of Charge RN or leadership experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
• Advanced certifications (CEN, TNCC, etc.)
• Previous Nurse Manager experience in a high-volume ED
