3. Neuro / ENT / Oral / Plastics

Must be able to circulate:

• Trach
• ENT (T&A, BMT, FESS)
• Plastics
• Breast reductions
• Spine fusions
• Laminectomy
• Crani
• Facial fractures
• Laryngoscopy / Bronchoscopy
• Neck dissections
• C-sections
• Lap appy
• Lap chole
• Bowel resections

Shifts & Scheduling

• Primarily Day Shift:
  • 0700–1530
  • 0700–1730
  • 0700–1930
• PM Shift:
  • 1500–2330 (1 week approximately every 5 weeks)
• Night Shift:
  • 2300–0700 (possible with facility experience)
• Shift Options:
  • 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
  • 12-hour shifts available in certain cases (not guaranteed)
  • First contracts not eligible for 12-hour shifts
  • Subsequent contracts may request 12-hour shifts (based on staffing)

Call Requirements

• Weeknight Call: 1–2 nights per week (end of shift to 0700)
• Weekend Call: 1 weekend every 5–6 weekends
• Holiday Call: At least 1 holiday per year
• Call Response Time:
  • Call Team 1: 30 minutes
  • Call Teams 2–4: 45 minutes

• Floating: Yes – to Outpatient Surgery Center across campus
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Scrubs Provided: Yes (via Cintas vending, no cost)

Orientation

• 2–3 days with educator (basics + CBTs)
• 1–2 weeks of case orientation:

  • Exposure to less familiar cases
