🌟 Hiring: RN – Director of Nursing (DON) 🌟
📍 Location: St. Ignace, MI
🗓 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
🌙 Shift: 8-Hour Days
⏱ Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week
 

🩺 Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Resident Care

• Oversee all nursing services to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care
• Ensure proper assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor resident outcomes and address quality concerns
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams

Leadership & Staff Management

• Supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nurse managers
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Address performance issues and conduct disciplinary actions as needed

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with CMS and state regulations
• Lead surveys, inspections, and audits
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures
• Drive QAPI initiatives and performance improvement efforts

Administrative & Operational Oversight

• Manage nursing department budgets
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels
• Ensure accurate documentation
• Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning

Education & Staff Development

• Oversee staff education, training, and competency evaluations
• Promote infection control, safety, and risk management
• Stay current with long-term care best practices

📋 Requirements

• 3–5 years Nursing experience (Required)
• Leadership/Management experience in LTC (Preferred)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Required – Document needed)
• Infection Control Certification (Required – Document needed)
• Experience with Matrix (Preferred)
• Active Michigan RN License (Required)
