Speech-Language Pathologist – Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF)

Primary Purpose:

Provide high-quality speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders, ensuring their success within the educational program. This position is located in a highly supportive district specifically known for providing an excellent environment for Clinical Fellows (CFs) to complete their residency.

Position Details:

• Location: Roseburg, OR
• Pay: $80.00 – $85.00/hr (CF Rate)
• Term: IMMEDIATE -August 2026 – June 2027 (Full School Year)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (Paid for hours worked; no pay for school holidays/closings)

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Licensure: Eligible for Oregon State SLP Licensure (CF Status)
• Certification: On track for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)

Skills & Experience:

• Foundational Knowledge: Strong understanding of assessment tools, therapy strategies, and behavior management.
• Communication: Excellent collaboration and organizational skills to work with school teams.
• Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and manage documentation effectively.
• Setting: Passion for working in a K-12 school-based environment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct Therapy: Evaluate and provide therapy for students with diverse speech/language disorders.
• IEP Development: Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and track student progress.
• Collaboration: Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and partner with teachers and parents for student success.
• Training: Provide guidance to school staff on communication strategies.
• Compliance: Maintain meticulous records and ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines.

Work Environment:

• School-based setting with occasional travel between campuses.
• Requires standing, sitting, and occasional lifting (up to 45 lbs.).
• Must be able to manage interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
