Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Summit, NJ
Department: Respiratory Therapy (03*7370)
Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12s (36 hours/week)
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct respiratory patient care in a hospital setting
• Perform pulmonary function testing
• Initiate and manage CPAP devices
• Support continued supply and documentation for DME (oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, etc.)
• Educate patients on proper inhaler techniques
• Set up and troubleshoot respiratory DME equipment
• Manage ventilators (Hamilton 980 experience required)
• Perform and interpret ABGs (iSTAT experience required)
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

• 4–5 years of critical care experience required
• Minimum 1 year hospital or physician office experience
• Experience with Hamilton 980 ventilators
• Experience with iSTAT ABG equipment
• Strong computer literacy
• Active New Jersey license required prior to start

Education

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Required)

Certifications & Licensure (Required)

• RRT or CRT credential from NBRC
• New Jersey Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification

Compensation Package (36 Hours/Week)

• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,487
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,533
• W2 Hourly Rate: $26.50/hr
