Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 5x8 Days (07:15 AM – 5:30 PM)
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Call Requirement: Yes – Must respond within 15 minutes; alternating call with Chief Perfusionist
Weekend Call: Every other weekend; overnight call rotates weekly
Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
Annual Cardiac Volume: ~400 heart cases per year

✅ REQUIRED Qualifications (Hard Requirements)

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of Perfusion experience (5–10 years may be considered if highly qualified)
• Previous Charge or Leadership Experience – Required
• Must have experience as:
  • Chief Perfusionist OR
  • Sole/Only Perfusionist at a facility
• Trauma Level I Experience – Required
• CVOR & General OR Experience – Required
• Must be fully independent and 100% proficient

Hard Stop Skills

• Cell Saver – Required
• ECMO – Required
• Independent ECMO Cannulation & Management – Required
• Must independently manage ECMO cannulation from start to finish

Certifications (AHA Required)

• ACLS – Required
• BLS – Required

Charting

• Epic – Required

Core Clinical Competencies

• Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB)
• Acid-Base Management
• Anticoagulation & Cardioplegia
• Hypothermic Circulatory Arrest
• Initiation & Weaning of CPB
• Oxygenator Failure & Air Embolus Management
• Mechanical Assist Devices (ECMO, ECLS, IABP, Impella, VAD)
• Blood Conservation Techniques
• Emergency Management (Adult Respiratory/Cardiac Arrest)
