Job Summary

Position: Registered Nurse – PACU
Location: Davis, CA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 03/30/2026
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 hours (08:30 AM – 07:00 PM)
Unit: PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Requirements:

Active California RN License
Minimum 2 years PACU experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or American Red Cross)
Epic charting experience required
Patient ratio: 1:2

Unit Details:

6 PACU Bays | 14 Pre-Op/Phase II Bays
4 Operating Rooms + 1 Endoscopy Room
Average daily census: 15 patients
Minimal weekend on-call depending on department needs

Surgical Cases Include:
Orthopedic, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, ENT (Adult & Pediatric), Robotics, Ophthalmology, GI Procedures (EGD/Colonoscopy), Plastics, Podiatry.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and recover patients from general, spinal, local, and MAC anesthesia
Airway management, extubation, ventilated patient care
Manage IV medications, sedation, vasopressors, and pain control
Perform post-operative monitoring, patient education, and discharge planning
