MUST Have: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience with a 250+ bed facility. Min 2 years ICU RN experience Candidate understands that they must call in each day prior to their shift to know which critical care unit/location they are working at in Fargo. experience titrating vasopressor drips - required (must see this on resume or skills checklist). Epic charting.
General job duties. Types of procedures required. Management of 1-3 critically ill patients, management of varying patient populations including critically ill neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients. Ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips. Ability to assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, Tracheostomy, line placement, other diagnostic tests. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EPIC EMR, Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet, Aleris IV pumps, MOOG Feeding pumps, IABP, EVD, Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems, AvaSure patient Monitoring, Impella Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years of experience in large hospital (over 250 beds), level 1 trauma. Ability to care for critical ill patients independently. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS - must be AHA, ACLS - must be AHA, NIHSS, ND or compact state RN License Shift or schedule requirements. Travelers in this role will call in each day prior to their shift to find out where they will be working. May float to MS if needed to task or take patient assignment of up to 3. Day/Night Rotate-8 and 12 hour shifts, occasional 4 hour shifts. Every other Weekend Every other Holiday No call required. Employee will not work alone Floating to over units/departments. Floating to all critical care departments in Sanford Fargo including 5AB, Intermediate ICU with ratios up to 4:1 and Broadway ICU with ratios up to 3:1 May be required to float to med surg units as needed Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 32 beds Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 1 nurse to 2 patients Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. The candidate will get a total of 32 hours of orientation. That includes 8 hours of hospital orientation, 8 hours of orientation to this unit (5CD) 4 hours of orientation to our Intermediate ICU, and then 12 hours of orientation to our Broadway ICU. All of this will take place over the 1st week of the assignment. - All clinicians must badge in and out at facility - Scrub Color: Navy Blue
