Description

Title: Pediatric Dietitian

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Duration: 13 Weeks (Start ASAP)

Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM – 04:30 PM) with 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM start; remote rotating weekends once per month

Job Responsibilities

Provide specialized pediatric nutrition care, including NICU patient populations.
Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions accordingly.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support pediatric patient outcomes.
Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families.
Document assessments, plans, and outcomes according to facility standards.
Participate in periodic remote weekend coverage (approximately once per month).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Pediatric dietitian experience required, specifically NICU experience.
Active Illinois state license required.
Ability to assess, plan, and implement pediatric nutrition care.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for interdisciplinary care teams.
Ability to manage pediatric patient nutritional needs in a clinical setting.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) certification preferred but not required.
Experience in hospital-based pediatric nutrition services.

Additional Requirements

Contract length: 13 weeks.
Less than 2 years of experience may be accepted depending on qualifications.
