Location: Fort Myers, FL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (03/30/2026 – 06/27/2026)
Shift: 10-Hour Days (06:30 – 17:00) | Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Job Summary
Seeking two high-performing OR Registered Nurses. This role is ideal for a surgical specialist who thrives in a high-volume environment with a heavy emphasis on Orthopedic Surgery. As part of a Group Order, you will be a key player in ensuring surgical throughput during the busy Florida spring season, supporting complex cases ranging from total joint replacements to acute orthopedic trauma.
Key Responsibilities
- Orthopedic Excellence: Circulate (and scrub if proficient) for complex orthopedic procedures, including total hip/knee/shoulder arthroplasty and fracture fixations.
- Service Line Versatility: Provide expert intraoperative care for general surgery, urology, and gynecological cases as needed.
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in the surgical call pool to support emergent after-hours cases.
- Epic Documentation: Utilize the Epic EMR for all intraoperative charting, including surgical counts, implant logging, and "Time Out" verification.
- System Flexibility: Maintain the ability to float to other Lee Health campuses (such as HealthPark or Gulf Coast Medical Center) to support system-wide surgical needs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated OR RN experience. Strong Ortho experience is required.
- Education: Degree accreditation must be clearly listed on your profile, or you must have 5+ years of verifiable experience.
- Licensure: Active Florida or Compact RN License must be visible through Nursys at the time of submittal.
- Certifications: * BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association) – Required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic EMR is required. Prior travel experience is highly preferred.
- Residency: Local candidates living within 50 miles are not eligible (Radius Rule enforced).

- Shift Details: 4x10s with Tuesdays off. Note the 06:30 start time for morning huddles and first-case starts.
