Description
Title: Travel CT Technologist – Level 1 Trauma | 12-Hour Nights
Location: Massachusetts
Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Schedule: Full-time travel assignment
Job Summary
A leading Level 1 Trauma hospital is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join its radiology team. The technologist will operate CT imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images used by physicians in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in high-acuity trauma environments and be comfortable working with Siemens CT scanners.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners and associated equipment to acquire diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients for CT exams according to departmental protocols
- Administer contrast agents via venipuncture under radiologist supervision
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper immobilization during procedures
- Transfer imaging data to PACS and complete documentation within the Radiology Information System
- Calibrate and verify CT equipment functionality prior to daily operations
- Float between radiology clinics and divisions as needed
- Assist with patient transport and transfer when required
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and training initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification (Radiography) required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Siemens CT scanner experience required
Preferred Experience
- 2–3 years CT Technologist experience
- Experience in high-volume hospital imaging departments
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging techniques
Additional Information
- Must be comfortable working in fast-paced trauma environments
- Technologists may rotate across departments and outpatient clinics as needed
- Strong communication and patient care skills required
