ICU RN – Travel Float Pool (Zone Assignment)
📍 Colorado Springs, CO Area
🕒 Nights | 7 PM – 7 AM
📅 36 Hours / Week

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a Zone Float Pool travel assignment supporting multiple ICU units within a 60-mile radius of Colorado Springs.

Float Zone Facilities

Travelers may float between:

• Penrose Hospital
• St. Francis Medical Center
• St. Francis InterQuest
• St. Mary Corwin (Pueblo)
• St. Thomas More (Canon City)

This position does not have a home base facility.

Unit Details

Combination ICUs including:

• MICU
• SICU
• TICU
• CVICU

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios

• Typical: 1:1 – 1:2
• High acuity (CRRT, Impella, IABP): 1:1
• May flex to 1:3

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• 2+ years ICU experience

Preferred:

• Travel experience

First-time travelers must have:

• 3+ years ICU experience
• Epic EMR experience

Skills Required

• Titrating critical care drips including pressors, sedation, antiarrhythmics, insulin, and heparin
• Ventilator patient management
• Telemetry interpretation

Equipment

• Ventilators
• CPAP / BiPAP
• High Flow Oxygen

Schedule

• 12-hour Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Schedule created every 6 weeks

Weekend Requirement

• 6–9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule

Floating

Travelers may float to:

• ICU
• PCU / Stepdown
• Med-Surg Telemetry

Important Notes

• Must live 60+ miles from facility
• Driver's license required at submission
• Travelers must be able to work at any hospital within the zone
