Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a high-acuity critical care unit. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex ICU patients and working with advanced life-support equipment.

Shift Details

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
• Scheduling: Block scheduling not guaranteed
• Floating: Required if needed
• Scrub Color: Navy

Travel / Local Policy

• Local candidates (<75 miles) accepted at local pay rate

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience in one or more of the following:
  • ICU
  • SICU
  • CTICU
  • Trauma ICU
  • Medical-Surgical ICU
  • Neuro ICU
• Travel experience required
• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required
• Cardiac/Heart experience highly preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Active New York RN License (NURSYS verification required)
• AHA Certifications Required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
• NIHSS Certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Driver’s license matching candidate demographics
• Skills checklist matching specialty required
• RTO must be included at time of submission

Unit Information

• Total Beds: 42
  • Neuro/Medical ICU: 22 beds
  • CTICU: 6 beds
  • Surgical/Trauma ICU: 14 beds

Floating

• May float to other units except Behavioral Health and Emergency Department (unless holding patients).

Common Patient Diagnoses

• Neuro/Medical ICU: Stroke, Sepsis, Altered Mental Status, Neuro Intervention (TCAR), Respiratory Failure, CHF, Post-STEMI
• CTICU: Cardiovascular surgery, Cardiogenic shock, AAA
• Surgical/Trauma ICU: Trauma cases and major post-operative patients

Specialty Equipment

• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage)
• Ventriculostomy
• ICP Monitoring
• Targeted Temperature Management (Arctic Sun)
