Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Rochester, NY

Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks initially)

Shift: Days, 10 hours a day

Expected Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Note:- The client is currently not accepting local Nurses (Radius rule- 75 miles)

Job Overview:

A Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The RN works closely with cardiologists and the procedural team to ensure patient safety before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, angioplasties, and other diagnostic/interventional procedures
• Monitor and document patient condition pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
• Administer medications including conscious sedation as directed
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure sterile technique and proper equipment setup for each procedure
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition with confidence and competence

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
