Certified CT Technologist – Boston, MA

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (04/05/2026 – 07/04/2026)

Shift: Evening Shift (15:30 – 00:00) | Monday – Friday

Job Summary:

A world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, is seeking a highly skilled Certified CT Technologist for a Monday through Friday evening rotation. As part of a 1,000+ bed academic medical center, you will join a high-volume, well-supported department. This role is critical for providing rapid diagnostic imaging for emergency trauma, acute stroke protocols (Code Greys), and complex inpatient cases in the heart of downtown Boston.

Key Responsibilities

Emergency & Trauma Imaging: Perform high-speed CT scans for multi-system trauma patients arriving via the MGH emergency department.
Stroke Protocol: Execute precision CT Angiography (CTA) and CT Perfusion (CTP) scans for acute stroke intervention.
Advanced Equipment Operation: Operate a diverse fleet of state-of-the-art Siemens and GE CT scanners, including dual-source and multi-detector systems.
Contrast Administration: Screen patients for contrast contraindications and manage IV power injections of iodinated contrast media.
Image Reconstruction: Perform complex 3D reconstructions and multi-planar reformats to assist radiologists and surgical teams in diagnosis.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of CT experience in a high-acuity or Level 1 Trauma setting.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certification: * ARRT (R)(CT) – Must be board certified in Computed Tomography.
- MA State Radiologic Technologist License – Required.
- BLS (AHA) – Required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with both Siemens and GE platforms is essential for this multi-scanner environment.

Department: MGH CT Technologists (MG7659).
Location: Boston, MA 02114.
Setting: 1,000+ bed Academic Medical Center.
Support: The department is well-staffed with a mix of senior techs, aides, and nursing support to manage the high evening volume.
