Travel RN – Interventional Radiology

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse for a travel assignment supporting a high-acuity procedural department. This role involves providing nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive image-guided procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The Interventional Radiology nurse will assist with pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedural monitoring, moderate sedation support, and post-procedure recovery. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, responding to on-call needs, and collaborating closely with the procedural team.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts
• Shift Time: Approximately 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Charting System: Meditech
• Scrubs: Provided by facility

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• Support moderate sedation and procedural care
• Collaborate with physicians and procedural staff during image-guided interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation
• Monitor patient condition closely in a 1:1 procedural care environment
• Respond to on-call and callback requirements as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Prior Interventional Radiology experience required
• Electrophysiology experience required
• Experience in procedural care and sedation support
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced setting
