Description:
Under the supervision of a Radiologist, the Interventional Radiology Technologist assists with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures. This role involves operating imaging equipment, maintaining sterile technique, providing patient care, and supporting physicians during procedures, while following established protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred (for cross‑training candidates)
Certification / Licensure
- ARRT‑R (Radiography) – Required
- Texas MRT License (Medical Radiologic Technologist), issued by the Texas Medical Board – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire
Interventional Certification Requirement:
Must obtain one of the following within two years of hire:
- ARRT‑CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography)
- ARRT‑CV (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography)
- ARRT‑VI (Interventional Radiography)
