Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of LDRP exp (RN); 2 years of Surgical Tech experience specific to OB
Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
LDRP
GYN surgical
Patient Ratios:
RN: AWHONN Guidelines
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
RN: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP
Surg Tech: BLS required, national certification (CST) is preferred but not required
Skills required:
RN: Experience with the all aspects of LDRP patient care, circulating c-sections, experience with newborn care to include heel sticks, 24 hr testing, NAS scoring, lactation support
Must have the skillset to work LDRP
Surg Tech: examples: Decontamination/Sterilization experience, sterile technique, comfortable providing assistance with vaginal and cesarean delivery
Support within the Department:
CNA – 1 per shift
Receptionist/HUC – patient registration, visitor mgmt. and unit secretary duties
Charge nurse
Case Manager
RT 24/7
Hospitalist or OB Physician, 24/7
OB Physicians – 2 OB practices
Pediatrician
Lactation Consultants
No remote Tele Monitoring
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips
Client Corometrics Fetal Monitors; Client Panda Warmer
Floating:
Within region and scope of practice
Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital)
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
Orientation (facility and unit):
NEO
2 days departmental
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other
No call
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Shift times: 7p-7a
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Other notes:
Scrub Color: navy blue scrubs or business casual to/from work; hospital issued scrubs while at work
