Travel RN – Oncology / Women’s Surgical
Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Position Type: Travel Assignment
Location: Asheville, NC
Unit Overview
The Oncology/Women’s Surgical unit provides comprehensive care for adult oncology patients and postoperative women’s surgical patients. The environment is team‑oriented, supportive, and focused on delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care.
- Beds: 24
- Total Staff: 42
- EMR: Cerner
- Equipment: Standard medical‑surgical equipment
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:5 depending on acuity
Required Qualifications (must have)
Candidates must meet all of the following to be considered:
· Active RN license
· Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
· Chemotherapy certification
Common Procedures on the Unit
· Occasional pelvic exams
· Echocardiograms
· Thoracentesis
Floating Expectations
- May float to other medical‑surgical units
- Floating is rare and based on staffing needs
