Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Location: Mission Hospital, 509 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28803 Floor: 5 West Building: Mission Main Total Gross Pay: $2,129.00

5W Medicine is a 36‑bed medical telemetry unit supported by a highly collaborative team of 50+ clinical professionals. The environment is fast‑paced, team‑oriented, and focused on delivering high‑quality, compassionate care.

Equipment & Technology

Medical remote telemetry monitoring
Cerner Patient Observation (CPO)
VC150 monitors in every patient room
Workstations on Wheels (WOWs) for all staff
Tap‑and‑Go access for documentation
EMR: Cerner

Patient Care & Procedures

While no major procedures are performed directly on the unit, 5W prepares patients for:

Endoscopy
Interventional Radiology (IR)
Operating Room (OR)

Required Skills

Candidates must have the following to be considered:

BLS
Medical Telemetry experience
Active RN Licensure

Certifications

Required: BLS
Encouraged: CMSRN

Floating Expectations

May float to sister Med‑Surg units:

Weekend Requirements

Staff must schedule 6 weekend shifts per 6‑week schedule
For night shift, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each count as weekend shifts
