Job Description:
ICU RN – Macomb, IL
Direct Hire | Full-Time | Night Shift
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 7-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ICU RN provides comprehensive, high-quality care to critically ill patients while collaborating closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage complex patient conditions, and experience with critical care interventions including titration of IV medications.
Position Overview:
· Permanent, full-time role
· 36 hours per week
· Night shift
Shift Details:
3 days per week: 12-hour shifts
- 7:00p–7:30a
Compensation & Incentives:
- Hourly range: $34 - $54.40

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, responding quickly to changes in status.
- Administer and titrate critical care medications such as Cardizem, Levophed, and insulin.
- Manage patients with complex diagnoses including respiratory, cardiac, and post-surgical conditions.
- Collaborate with hospitalists, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and other clinical staff to coordinate patient care.
- Interpret cardiac telemetry strips and monitor hemodynamic status.
- Assist with emergency interventions including rapid responses and intubations when needed.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain infection control standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- RN License
- CPR, ACLS, PALS (Can get on site)
- Minimum of 2 years, with ICU experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in managing a range of ICU patient conditions, including titrating critical drips
