Job Title: House Supervisor (RN) – Night Shift

Job Type: Contract

Job Summary:
The House Supervisor (RN) is responsible for overseeing hospital operations during the night shift, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care across all departments. This leadership role coordinates staffing, supports clinical teams, and serves as the primary administrative and clinical resource in the absence of senior leadership.

Schedule & Shift:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed full-time hours
• May require flexibility based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall supervision of hospital operations during assigned shift
• Serve as a clinical and administrative resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate staffing levels and patient flow to ensure appropriate coverage and patient care
• Respond to and manage emergencies, including code situations and critical incidents
• Support and assist with patient care as needed, including providing coverage for meal and rest breaks
• Float to units such as Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Medical-Surgical as needed
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Facilitate communication between departments, physicians, and leadership
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific requirement)
• Minimum of 4 years of recent nursing experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical background in acute care settings (ER, ICU, Med/Surg)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Preferred Certification:

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Additional Requirements:

• Proof of negative TB screening within the past 12 months prior to start
• Flexibility to float across multiple units based on hospital needs
