๐ฅ Med/Tele RN (PCU Experience Required)
๐ Key Requirements
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Experience: Must have PCU experience + ability to read & interpret tele strips
- System: Epic preferred
- Traveler Friendly: Yes (first-time travelers accepted)

- Department: Med/Tele (Cardiac-focused)
- Beds: 32
- Patient Ratio:
- Days: 1:4โ5
- Nights: 1:5โ6 (occasionally)
- PCU overflow: 1:3
๐ฉบ Patient Population
- Adults & geriatrics
- Cardiac-heavy cases including:
- Cardiac caths, EP studies, pacemakers
- Telemetry & cardiac history patients
- Other conditions:
- Pneumonia, COVID (BiPAP), influenza
- Sepsis, ETOH, acute on chronic illnesses
- Occasional post-surgical (cardiac history)
๐ Clinical Skills & Responsibilities
- Telemetry monitoring + strip interpretation (required)
- Drip titration required
- Common drips: Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, low-dose Dopamine
- โ No Levophed
- Respiratory support exposure: BiPAP, trachs, Airvo (RT support available)
๐ฉโโ๏ธ Support Staff
- Charge Nurse: Yes (may take light assignment: 2โ3 patients)
- Techs/CNAs: Yes (approx. 1:10 ratio)
- Tele Techs: Yes (central monitoring + bedside monitors)
๐ Schedule & Shifts
- Shifts: 7aโ7p / 7pโ7a
- Weekend: Every other
- Holidays: Every other
- Scheduling: Manager-created; blocked scheduling may be considered
๐ Floating
- Required as needed:
- PCU (full assignment)
- Med-Surg (full assignment)
- ER holds / helping hands
๐ Orientation
- 2 shifts (12-hour each)
- Typically FriโSat โ independent by Sunday
