Position Overview

A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment. This position guarantees 30 hours per week and includes variable shift scheduling depending on facility needs. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support patient rehabilitation and functional improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Aid patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and functional skill development
• Document patient progress accurately and timely
• Support the Occupational Therapist in delivering high-quality therapeutic care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated patient services
• Follow facility guidelines, safety protocols, and therapy best practices

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum required experience: Less than 1 year (new graduates welcome)

Licensure

• Active, current state COTA license required

Certifications

• Standard COTA credentials as required by state regulations
