Description

Travel Interventional Radiology Tech

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment supporting a high-acuity procedural department within a Heart & Vascular Institute. This role involves assisting physicians during image-guided procedures and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The Interventional Radiology Tech will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after interventions. Candidates should be comfortable working with complex vascular and interventional cases.

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Interventional Radiology Tech
  • Schedule: 4x9 hour day shifts (Monday–Friday)
  • Shift Time: Approximately 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Setting: Acute care / Heart & Vascular procedural environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during interventional radiology and vascular procedures
  • Operate imaging equipment and maintain sterile procedural fields
  • Administer contrast materials and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide support throughout care
  • Assist with venipuncture and IV placement as needed
  • Monitor patient condition and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation
  • Support inventory and supply management within the department

Requirements

  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Active state radiography license (if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
  • Experience with vascular and interventional procedures
  • Ability to maintain sterile technique and assist in procedural environments

Additional Details

  • Experience with peripheral vascular, central lines, and tube placements required
  • Exposure to embolization, thrombectomy, and dialysis-related procedures
  • Neuro interventional experience preferred
  • Acute care hospital setting with diverse procedural volume
On-call rotation required based on department needs Candidates must be comfortable working variable shifts as needed Strong experience in vascular and interventional procedures is required Experience with neuro procedures is preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment is essential
