Description

Travel Cath Lab Tech

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment supporting a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab. This role involves assisting physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures while maintaining a high standard of patient care and procedural efficiency.

The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for both scrubbing and monitoring cases, working with advanced cardiac devices, and supporting a variety of complex interventional procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview

Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts
Shift Time: Day shifts (approximately 10 hours)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Acute care hospital

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
Perform both scrub and monitoring roles during procedures
Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment
Monitor hemodynamics and support patient care throughout procedures
Support procedures including PCI, Impella, and other advanced cardiac interventions
Maintain sterile technique and ensure procedural readiness
Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

Requirements

RCIS certification required (ARRT accepted with applicable licensing)
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
Experience with Impella devices required
Experience with Claris system and pacing required
Ability to scrub and monitor procedures independently
Epic experience required

High-acuity cardiac procedural environment
Multiple openings available
Must be comfortable working with advanced cardiac equipment and complex cases

On-call and weekend coverage required based on department needs Candidates must complete required prescreening prior to submission Minimum of two current references required Flu vaccination required (seasonal) COVID vaccination or approved declination required Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify Candidates must disclose any prior work within the health system
