Radius Rule: Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius of Aspirus Wausau Job Title: Job Title: Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down RN - Aspirus Wausau Hospital Cardiac Telemetry Unit Wausau, WI** Clinical Interview Services** Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 Shift Requirements: 12 hours Days 0700-1930 Float Requirements: Float to all inpatient units as needed.. On Call/Call Back Requirements: can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend. Every other holiday Required Certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS. AHA or ARC **Must be able to pass EKG test 1st week of hire.**Minimum Experience: MUST HAVE 1 YEAR STRONG CARDIAC EXPERIENCE (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) & 2 years IMC/PCU/Tele experience required. Candidates cannot move forward in the interview process without experience without Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips. *Required: at least ONE travel assignment must be completed* Charting- 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required Unit Information: 44 Bed Intermediate cardiac stepdown. Fast paced, high patient turnover. Post op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, Vascular, Arrhythmia, CHF, Post procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, Acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow i.e. detox, DKA, COPD exac, resp failure, Fem Pop Bypass. Patient ratio typically 1:4 Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely Scrub Colors: any color Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours travelers can be put on call during the 36 hours of unbillable low census. If called back in, they will have call back pay. GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.
