Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced recovery unit. The ideal candidate must be comfortable handling post-anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases and be able to function independently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
Monitor patient vitals and respond to complications
Care for patients with orthopedic and general surgery diagnoses
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Float to other units as required
Function as core staff within the unit

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of PACU experience (Required)
ICU or ER experience required
Active RN license
BLS & ACLS Certifications (Required)
Experience with EPIC EMR (Preferred)
Prior travel experience highly preferred
Degree accreditation verification required OR minimum 5 years of experience

Scheduling & Work Expectations:

10-hour evening shifts with on-call requirement
Must be flexible to float between units
Travelers expected to work at the same level as permanent staff

50-mile radius rule enforced

Work Environment:

24-bed PACU unit
High-acuity, fast-paced setting
Supportive team with strong expectations for independence and adaptability
