Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse
Location: Frederick, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Antepartum, Postpartum Unit.
- Located in a suburban area approximately one hour from Baltimore and Washington DC.
- Rotating holidays and weekends required; block scheduling not available.
- Antepartum/postpartum cross-training expected.
Required Experience, Certifications & Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland.
- Minimum 3 years of Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Acute care experience.
- Completion of at least one travel assignment.
- ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- PALS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete facility-required online learning modules and pass exams with a minimum score of 80%.
- Candidates will not be allowed to start orientation without completion of required modules.
- Mask fit testing required prior to start.
- Rotating shifts include holidays and weekends; no block scheduling accommodations.
This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs with strong acute care skills and prior travel experience who are ready to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
