📌 Unit Overview

• Beds: 16
• Patient Ratio:
  • 1:1 or 2:1 (occasionally 3:1 based on acuity)
• Staffing Model: RN-only unit (no unit clerks or techs)
• Charting System: Cerner

⚙️ Equipment & Technology

• Ventilators
• Telemetry Monitoring
• Baxter IV Pumps
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Impella Devices
• Hypothermia Equipment

📅 Schedule & Policies

• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts
• Weekends: Alternating required
• Floating: Required to float to all areas

👕 Dress Code

• Navy or Navy & White scrubs only
• No hoodies or pullovers
• No green scrubs (except in special situations at work)

🧠 Required Skills (Must-Have)

• Titration of vesicant medications
• Strong knowledge of pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Ventilator and tracheostomy management
• Telemetry interpretation
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• PA catheter setup & interpretation

⭐ Preferred / Advanced Skills

• IABP
• Impella
• CRRT

• Cardioversion
• Central line insertion
• Bronchoscopy
• EGD
• Chest tube insertion & maintenance

💡 Candidate Requirements

• ICU experience is required
• Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity cardiac ICU environment
