Position: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (MS)
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

• Block scheduling not guaranteed
• Floating required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical (MS) Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced unit providing care to adult patients. This role involves managing post-surgical cases and working with a diverse patient population requiring acute care support.

Unit Details

• Unit: Medical Surgical (MS)
• Patient Population: Adults
• Common Diagnoses:
  • Abdominal pain
  • Cholelithiasis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Fractures
  • Back pain
  • Bariatric (morbid obesity) surgical cases
• Equipment Used:
  • IV pumps
  • NG tubes
  • Feeding tubes
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for post-surgical and acute medical patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Manage IV therapy, feeding tubes, and NG tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
• Float to other units as required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (NY license required)
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical Surgical (MS) experience
• Travel experience REQUIRED
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Current AHA BLS certification

  • Active NY RN License
