Job Overview:

Title: Travel RN – Case Manager
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per week: 40
Contract Duration: 13‑Week Travel Assignment
Weekends: Every other weekend required

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager to join our acute care team. This position is ideal for a highly organized, clinically strong RN with hospital case management experience who thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

The RN Case Manager is responsible for coordinating patient care, managing utilization review, supporting discharge planning, and ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective outcomes throughout the continuum of care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform acute care hospital case management for assigned patient populations
• Conduct utilization reviews using InterQual criteria
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Facilitate safe and timely discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations
• Document patient assessments and case management activities accurately
• Utilize hospital systems including Meditech and Midas
• Participate in quality improvement and patient throughput initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital case management experience
• Strong working knowledge of:
• InterQual
• Meditech
• Midas
