Travel Radiation Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment supporting an oncology department. This role involves delivering radiation treatments to patients, ensuring proper positioning, and maintaining safety standards throughout all procedures.

The Radiation Therapist will operate specialized equipment, monitor patient responses to treatment, and collaborate closely with physicians and oncology teams to provide high-quality patient care.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Radiation Therapy
• Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts
• Shift Time: Approximately 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Charting System: Cerner Aria
• Setting: Acute care oncology department

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Accurately position patients for treatment and ensure proper alignment
• Operate linear accelerator and CT simulation equipment
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after treatment
• Maintain strict radiation safety standards for patients and staff
• Document treatments and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with oncology team members to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

• Active Radiation Therapist certification (ARRT - Radiation Therapy)
• BLS certification
• Experience operating linear accelerator equipment
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and treatment protocols
• Ability to work independently in a structured clinical environment
